Junyong Pak, Tough Mudder Ambassador
Transcription: “Training for a Tough Mudder is about getting yourself comfortable with being uncomfortable. You want to constantly push yourself into situations where you’re not familiar, because most of the obstacles are not necessarily physical. If you want to survive that you really need to be comfortable with the discomfort. The Tough Mudder events are challenges, not necessarily a race. So, it’s designed for everyone.
You don’t have to be an elite athlete, you can be somebody who’s just very determined. You can do it in such a way that it’s safe. It’s an event for everybody. What you want to be prepared for is just being ready to gauge whatever obstacles they present in front of you. If you want to really push yourself, you try to do it as fast as you can. That satiates athletes such as myself who are trying to do them as fast as they can, and win.”
