Julian Edelman recently took us through the strength and conditioning program he uses to stay in peak physical condition. If you don’t know Edelman’s story by now, you should. He played QB throughout his high school and collegiate career but didn’t receive an invite to the 2009 NFL Combine. He was discovered at another player’s Pro Day when he ran the short shuttle in 3.91 seconds, .05 seconds faster than anyone at that year’s NFL Combine. He was drafted by the New England Patriots and switched positions to wide receiver. In 2013, Edelman had the best receiving season of his career with 105 catches for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns. He returned a career-high 35 punts for 374 yards.
