Peyton Manning and Eli Manning have taken their games to a level we never thought they could reach. The Manning brothers did what nobody could have predicted. They made a viral rap video.
Peyton and Eli are great models for youth athletes
In the past 7 years Peyton and Eli have appeared in four Super Bowls, captured 3 Super Bowl rings, won 2 NFL MVP awards, and now have a hit YouTube video with over 3.5 million views in less than 48 hours! I’m not sure which is most impressive. It is evident from their list of accomplishments on the football field that Peyton and Eli take their sport seriously. But at the same time they like to have fun. We can learn a lot from the Manning brothers. Youth sports in 2013 are very serious. There is a lot of pressure put on youth athletes today to perform starting at an early age. Parents, coaches, and even the athletes themselves expect a lot, and work very hard to achieve it.
Don’t forget to have fun in sports
But the one thing that shouldn’t be lost, is the fact sports are meant to be fun. If you play sports and don’t have fun, then why play? If you don’t have fun, then you probably don’t love it. If you don’t love it, then one day you may hate it. This is the reason I love what Petyon and Eli Manning do with their Saturday Night Live skits, their “cut that meat” commercials, and now their music video, Football on Your Phone. They work hard, and play hard. And at the end of the day they have fun playing sports. Make sure you and your youth athletes have fun playing sports. For those who are ready for some football, remember in 2013 the Manning brothers are bringing you football on your phone! Have fun watching their ‘instant classic’ video below with your kids and athletes.
