How To Tackle | CoachUp Football Tips

Former New England Patriots defensive back and CoachUp coach Larry Anam shows football how to correctly tackle a ball carrier.

Larry Anam: Hi, I’m Larry Anam: former New England Patriots defensive back and CoachUp coach. And this is tackling. As a cornerback, it is essential to keep the ball inside, so whenever you do make your tackle, you always go outside in. When you tackle, you want to make sure you have nice leverage. Squat down, keep your head up. You have to see exactly what you hit. Do not strike with your head, sink your hips down, pay attention to his hip; his hip is going to tell you exactly where he is going. Once he makes a move, grab at his hips and bring him down.
