CoachUp Fundraiser for Boston Marathon Victims

CoachUp has partnered with TUGG (Technology Underwriting Greater Good) and several members of the Boston tech community to honor and support the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.  A fundraiser will be held on Sunday evening, April 21st at the Hooley House located above Hennesey’s on 25 Union Street in Boston.

Doors will open at 7:30 PM and all members of the Boston community are encouraged to attend.  There will be a suggested $10 donation at the door which will be provided to One Fund Boston, the official relief fund established by Mayor Menino and Governor Deval Patrick to help the people affected by the Boston Marathon bombing tragedy.

The event, named “Techies Rock for Boston,” will be evening filled with musical performances.

Hooley House and eight other bars are involved in the fundraising efforts that evening as well.  A portion of their night’s sales will be donated along with the money collected at the door, commemorative t-shirt sale money and all sales from running a variety of raffles.  Raffle prizes include vacations and area gift cards.  The other bars involved include; Durty Nelly’s, Green Dragon, Hennessy’s, Patty O’s and the three Mr. Dooleys location in Cohasset, Wrentham and Boston.

For those of you who cannot make the event on Sunday you can still contribute to the fundraising effort by contributing to TUGG’s fundraise.com page.  Thus far TUGG has raised over $188,000 with a goal of $200,000.  Let’s blow that goal out of the water.  See you Sunday.
